A Light Stop and Electroweak Baryogenesis
The possibility of creating baryon asymmetry at the electroweak phase transition in the minimal supersymmetric standard model is considered for the case when right-handed squarks are much lighter than left-handed ones. It is shown that the usual requirement v(T c)=T c > 1 for baryogenesis can be satissed in a range of the parameters of the model, consistent with present experimental bounds.
متن کاملLight Stop and the b → sγ Process
A constraint from b → sγ process to the minimal supersymmetric standard model is derived in the light stop region where the coupling between the lighter stop and the Z boson vanishes due to the left-right mixing of the stop states. It is pointed out that although some region in the parameter space is excluded from this process there remains a large parameter space where the amplitude of the b →...
متن کاملDetecting a Light Stop from Top Decays at the Tevatron
We study the possibility of discovering or excluding a light top squark (stop) t̃1 based on top quark decays in the tt events produced at the Fermilab Tevatron. In particular, we consider the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model with the sparticle spectrum mχ± 1 +mb, MW + mχ0 1 +mb > mt̃1 > mχ1 + mc, where χ 0 1 is the lightest neutralino, so that t → t̃1χ01 and t̃1 → cχ01. All other sparticle mas...
متن کاملGreen light: a signal to slow down or stop.
Light has a profound effect on plant growth and development. Red and blue light best drive photosynthetic metabolism, so it is no surprise that these light qualities are particularly efficient in advancing the developmental characteristics associated with autotrophic growth habits. Photosynthetically inefficient light qualities also impart important environmental information to a developing pla...
متن کاملSTOP-like protein 21 is a novel member of the STOP family, revealing a Golgi localization of STOP proteins.
Neuronal microtubules are stabilized by two calmodulin-regulated microtubule-associated proteins, E-STOP and N-STOP, which when suppressed in mice induce severe synaptic and behavioral deficits. Here we show that mature neurons also contain a 21-kDa STOP-like protein, SL21, which shares calmodulin-binding and microtubule-stabilizing homology domains with STOP proteins. Accordingly, in different...
